Windows of Displacement Workshop
Akeim will be sharing his creative practice used to devise Windows Of Displacement, utilising a mixture of skills to tell a story. In this workshop participants will look at devising movement language, marrying with voice and text to convey messages. Expect to sweat physically and mentally, to laugh and over all get an insight into a fun, open creative process with Akeim Toussaint Buck aka Toussaint To Move. Movement with be accompanied by live, looped beat boxing made by Akeim with input from participants.
Akeim is a multifaceted performing artist. He seeks to create moving, thought-provoking, accessible and free-spirited projects with multiple artistic disciplines. Since graduating from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Akeim has been involved in cross-disciplinary projects working with a wide range of artists from around the world. His focus as a maker and collaborator is to combine expressive skills such as dance, poetry, beat-box, song, and theatre to create performances that galvanise diverse audiences.
